Wanda Mae Cook, age 89, of Fayetteville, TN, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Donalson Care Center.
She was born January 16, 1936, in Whitley County, KY, daughter of the late Clyde Noe and Grace Parks Noe.
Wanda had a knack for numbers and a meticulous attention to detail, which she employed in her work as a bookkeeper for sheet metal contractors. Her dedication was not only evident in her professional life but also in her personal pursuits. She found solace and joy in the rhythmic hum of a sewing machine and the thrill of finding the perfect item during her shopping excursions. Wanda's life was a tapestry of these cherished moments, each thread a testament to her vibrant spirit and enduring love. Above all Wanda cherished her role as a mother and wife. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed every moment spent with them.
In addition to her parents, Clyde and Grace; Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Cook; brother, Clyde Noe, Jr.; and sisters, Phyllus Mockabee, and Wilma Peace.
She is survived by her son, Jack Allen Gross; nieces, Karen Lynn Noe, and Donna Peace; and nephews, Michael Noe, Kenny Noe, and Chuck Noe.
A graveside service will be held at 12 pm on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Smith Cemetery in Faber, KY.
