Virginia Iona Smith

Virginia Iona Smith, age 95, of Corbin, KY, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Baptist Health Corbin.

Born in Corbin, KY, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Teague and Cora McVay Teague. Virginia was a member of Faber Baptist Church and remained devoted to her faith throughout her life. She was deeply loved by her family and especially cherished the time she spent with those closest to her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl W. Smith, and her brother, Ralph Teague.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Hendrickson; grandsons, Bobby Hendrickson, Jr., and Tyler Hendrickson and wife Kristen; cherished great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Hendrickson; sister-in-law, Marceline Teague; special nephew, Randall Smith; special friends, Donna and Dell Sams; and several nieces and nephews in Washington, Missouri.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Lynn Camp Cemetery in Corbin, KY.
