Valerie Kay Lyle

Valerie Kay Lyle, age 74, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at UK Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

A cherished resident of Corbin, Kentucky, Valerie was a beacon of warmth and kindness, spreading love and compassion in every corner of her life. As a dedicated homemaker, she poured her heart and soul into creating a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Valerie was known for her unwavering love for her family. She was a believer and often attended Central Baptist Church near her home.

Valerie was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald R. Lyle, in 2018, and by her parents, Aster and Ruby Campbell Adams.

She is survived by her two children, Adam Lyle of Corbin, and Cynthia Ware Thomison of Columbia, TN; grandchildren, Savannah Lyle, Cory Ware, Gabriel Ware, and Garrett Ware, all of Tennessee; and by her siblings, Robert Adams of London, KY, Charles Adams and wife Pat of London, KY, and Ann Cager and husband Michael of Ohio; as well as many friends.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Valerie's life on October 31, 2026, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, with her memorial visitation from 2 pm until the time of her memorial service at 3 pm.
