Troy V. Engle, Jr.

Troy V. Engle Jr., age 74, of Corbin, KY, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at his home.

Born in Gray, KY, he was the son of the late Troy V. Engle Sr. and Evelyn Helton Engle. Troy worked as a truck driver for many years and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. Above all, he loved his family deeply and treasured the time spent with them.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ivan Roberts.

He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Roberts Engle; children, Jenny Engle (David), Angel Hill (Scott), Kimberly Blackman (Mitch), Joseph Roberts (Melissa), and Troy Roberts; daughter-in-law, Elaine Roberts; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he loved dearly; sisters, Ada Gilbert (Arnold) and Brenda Medlin (Danny); and lifelong friends, Coit and Sharon Steely, and Jennifer Cox. 

Visitation will be held from 6:00-9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Funeral service for Troy Engle will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the funeral home with Rev. Johnny Farmer officiating. 

Burial will follow at Helton Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to assist with expenses. All donations will go toward assisting with expenses, and the family will receive a list of donors.
