Tina L. Cook, 62, of London, KY, passed away at her home on Thursday, November 21, 2024.
Tina was always in search of new experiences and stories to share. Her fondness for exploring manifested in her frequent trips to Gatlinburg, a place she held close to her heart. The old towns she would encounter on her travels were not just historical sites to Tina, but repositories of forgotten tales waiting to be rediscovered.
Loving, creative, and supportive, Tina's joy in life was infectious. There was never a dull moment when she was around, her creativity constantly finding new ways to make each day special. Her love for fishing was more than a hobby; it was a testament to her patience and her ability to find peace in the simplest of things. And when she wasn't casting a line, you could find Tina in the throes of a riveting bingo game, her competitive spirit shining through.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Linda Braughton; grandmother, Gladys Mullins, and Pauline Parker; aunt, Donna; and nephews, TJ and Justin.
Tina is survived by her husband, Wayne Vickers; daughters, Julia Alday Paz (Elder), and Christina Smith (Bradley); grandson, Kai Paz; brothers, Jim Braughton (Michelle) and Billy Braughton; sisters, JoAnn Newman, Jamie Altizer (Pat), and Penny Huckery (Gary); and by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Tina's life celebration will be planned at a later date.
