Shawna Danielle Gilbert

Shawna Danielle Gilbert, age 40, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Baptist Health Corbin.

Shawna was born in Manchester, KY, on August 9, 1986, to the late Melvin and Amanda Fee. She was an open and honest woman who cherished her family deeply. Above all, Shawna’s love for her children, Lauren and Richard, was boundless. She found great joy in the simple pleasure of coloring and treasured the time spent with those she loved.

Shawna is survived by her beloved children, Lauren Gilbert and Richard Gilbert; siblings, Jeannette Fee, Melissa Fee, and Melvin Fee, Jr.; along with other family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Melvin and Amanda Fee.

Shawna will be lovingly remembered for her honesty, her love for her children, and the special place she held in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

At the request of the family, all services will be private.
