Shawn M. Pleasant

Shawn M. Pleasant, age 34, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Baptist Health in Corbin, KY.

Born in Sidney, Ohio, Shawn was preceded in death by his mother, Angel Pleasant.

A self-employed general contractor, Shawn was a loving husband, father, son, and friend to many.

He is survived by his wife, Whitley Pleasant; children, Bryson Pleasant, Brynlee Pleasant, Brystan Pleasant, and Bryer Pleasant; his father, Joey Powers; siblings, Chelsie Pleasant, Michelle Willis, and Malaney Willis; aunt, Chasity Pleasant; father-in-law, Robbie Lickliter (Becky); mother-in-law, Sherrie Guiher (Robert); and by many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6-9 pm on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where his funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 21st, with Rev. Dr. Keaton Smith officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lickliter Cemetery in Corbin, KY.
