Sarah Napier Lewis

Sarah Napier Lewis, age 81, of Corbin, KY, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Hillcrest Health and Rehabilitation in Corbin.

Born in Harlan, KY, she was the daughter of the late Adrian Napier and Cammy Howard Napier. Sarah was a loving and kind woman whose gentle spirit will be remembered by those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Lewis; and siblings, Annie N. Sanders, Nancy Mason, Bill Napier, Critt Napier, and Mabin Mefford.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Lewis; and a host of nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2026, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. 

A private burial will take place at Napier Cemetery in Bledsoe, KY.
