Ruth (McDonald) Hughes, 84, of Bedford, KY passed away Monday, April 18, 2022. She was a daughter of the late James Cecil and Carrie O. (Taylor) McDonald. She was predeceased by her husband Billy G. Hughes, son Gregory G. Hughes, and sister Ruby Jean Cunningham. Survivors include a daughter Vicki Whitaker and husband Cecil, son Joseph Hughes, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, April 22 at Pine Hill Cemetery in Corbin with Jeff Hughes officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Kosair Children's Hospital. Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home is assisting with local arrangements.
