Roger G Payne

Roger G. Payne, 67, of Corbin passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Baptist Health Lexington. Born at Dayton, KY, he was a son of Velma Haggler Payne and the late Noble Glen Payne. He was also preceded in death by a daughter Lisa Payne, a great grandson Dalton Farmer, five brothers and a sister. Roger had worked in maintenance at the Walmart Distribution Center and had attended Grace on the Hill UMC. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter Rebecca Payne and a son John Farmer; seven grandchildren: Devyn Stephenson, D. J. Johnson, Kyleigh Johnson, Brittnay Farmer, Cody Farmer, Austin Farmer, and James Marshal, Jr; his sister Barbara Johnson and his brother Ronnie Helton. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 pm Tuesday, March 9th at the Barbourville City Cemetery with Rev. Scott Wilson officiating. The family will meet at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home at 2:45 pm for the procession to the cemetery. Please wear face coverings and practice social distancing while there.
