Richard "Wes" Dewees

Richard "Wes" Dewees, age 46, was born on April 14, 1980, in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky.

A resident of Gray, Kentucky, Wes was a man of many talents, with a passion for art and music that defined much of his life. He was a gifted musician, masterfully strumming the guitar and breathing life into the harmonica.

Wes was not only a creator but a dedicated professional whose career at Don Franklin Auto allowed him to merge his love for automobiles with his meticulous attention to detail.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Debra Lynn Chadwell Jones; brother, Robert Chad Dewees; and by his grandparents, Janrose and Luther Dewees, and Margie Chadwell.

Wes is survived by his father, Robert Richard Dewees; children, Josh Dewees (Nakalynn), and Emily Dewees; brother, Eric Black; mother of his children, Rachel Dewees; and he was anxiously awaiting his first granddaughter.

Visitation for Wes will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 1 - 3 pm at Faith Baptist Church, 135 KY 1223, Corbin, KY. His funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm at Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Benny Bush officiating.

Burial will follow in McHargue Cemetery in Laurel County, Kentucky.
