Ray Joseph Jackson Jr.

Ray Joseph Jackson, Jr., was born on November 27, 1972, in Corbin, KY, and departed this life on Thursday, April 9, 2026.

Ray’s life was a testament of dedication, passion and genuine love for his family, friends, and hobbies. He was a Baptist by faith.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Scott and Mossie Jackson; and Aaron and Flossie North.

Ray was a familiar face at Ford Legacy, where he was employed, His love for his job came from a wider passion for automobiles that he carried throughout his life. Ray's fascination with old cars wasn't just limited to the full-sized versions. His extensive Hot Wheels collection was a source of joy and pride, carefully curated over many years. His love for "old time music" was another facet of his unique personality.

Ray is survived by his son, Aaron Jackson (Krysten); mother, June McKnight (Charlie); father, Ray Joseph Jackson (Donna); granddaughter, Andie Lynn Jackson; sisters, Amber Cosette, and Samantha Vernon; his former wife, Linda Carroll, and by a host of friends who will all mourn his passing.

Visitation for Ray will be held from 12noon until 2 PM on Monday April 13, 2026, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. His funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Monday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Farmer officiating.

Burial will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Corbin, Kentucky. Serving as pall bearers will be Arliss Johnson, Scott Partin, Richie Bledsoe, Lucas Shirley, Jimmy McKnight, John Cannon Gilspie, Charlie McKnight, Jordan Bledsoe, and Allen Bledsoe
