Matthew Jordan Hammons

Matthew Jordan Hammons, age 24, of Corbin, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2015.
Matthew was a 2009 graduate of Knox Central High School. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Carl Hammons Sr. and Melvin Mills.
He is survived by his mother and step-father Jamie and Tony McNew; father, Carl Hammons Jr.; grandmothers, Barbara Pitman and Estelita Hammons; brother, Evin McNew; and a host of friends and other family members, including his aunt Amy Kennedy and his uncle John Mills; and by his girlfriend, Rebeccca Salvage.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, October 3rd, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
