Mary Wanda Poynter

Mary Wanda Poynter, age 80, of Corbin passed away on Monday, December 13, 2010, at her home.
She was a retired Nurse from the Corbin Hospital and was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church in Corbin.
Wanda was preceded in death by her Husband, Homer Poynter; Son, Michael Edward Poynter; Parents, Cecil and Susie Parman Carter; Brothers, B.D. "Bud" Carter, Raymond and Delbert Strange; Sister, Wilma Strange.
She is survived by her Daughter, Debbie Campbell Helton; Grandsons, Adam Campbell and wife Michelle of Corbin; Jonathan Campbell and wife Corilyn of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Sisters, Etta Bingham of Ft. Thomas, Ann Ridener of Corbin, and Sue Gambrel of Erlanger; Brother, Charles "Bo" Carter of Erlanger, and by Four Great Grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, December 16, 2010, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Doyle Lester and Rev. Robert King officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Corbin.
Visitation will be held from 6-9pm on Wednesday, December 15th, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
