Mary Evelyn Jones

Mary Evelyn Jones, age 78 of Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026 at Baptist Health Corbin

Born on December 3, 1947, in Corbin, KY. She was the daughter of the late John and Amanda Henson Wynn. Mary was a dedicated homemaker, lending her nurturing spirit to the comfort and care of her own home.

Mary was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who all cherished her. She was a pillar of strength, setting a shining example for her family.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, John and Amanda Wynn; an infant son; siblings, Marie West, Lou Cagle, Cory Lowe, Sally Lawson and Harvey Wynn

Mary is survived by her children, Ruby Jones, and Billy Jones; grandchildren, John, Kathleen, Dylan, Debra, Melissa, Bobby, and Brandon; and by numerous great-grand children; siblings, Jesse Wynn, Wilma Reynolds, and Frances Lawson; and by several nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss her dearly.

The family will receive friends on Saturday July 25, 2026 at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home from 12-2:00 pm. Where the funeral service will follow at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Sizemore Cemetery in Corbin, Kentucky.
