Luther Jarvis

Luther Jarvis, 81, of Woodbine, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2006 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Born August 5, 1924 in Clay County, he was a retired railman with the L&N Railroad.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Arletta Jarvis in September, 2005, seven children, two sisters and one daughter-in-law.
He is survived by nine daughters, four sons, 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, three brothers, three sisters, and numerous loved ones and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, April 13, 2006 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Seymour Watenbarger and Rev. David Tyson Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Clearfield Cemetery in Jellico, Tennessee.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Wednesday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
