Linda "Sue" Collins

Linda "Sue" Collins, age 71, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at her home in Corbin.

She was born on July 4, 1955 in Lexington, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Dale Collins and Judy Yost Collins.

A vibrant and independent woman, Sue was a bank teller for many years, with the former Union National Bank., providing not only financial services but also a warm greeting and a listening ear to those she served. An avid reader, she could often be found engrossed in a novel, her mind traveling to distant lands even as her physical adventures lessened. She was a dedicated supporter of UK Sports and NASCAR, her competitive spirit was admired by all. Linda's love for her family, her friends, and her community was the cornerstone of her life.

Linda is survived by her siblings, Vicky Collins, John Collins and wife Thelma, and Jeanie Grega and husband John; and by several nieces and nephews.

Her visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 2 - 3:30 PM at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will be held at 3:30 PM with Rev. Brent Carroll officiating. Burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily, Kentucky.
