Linda Louise Sears

Linda Louise Bossardet Sears, age 76, of Corbin, KY, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Baptist Health Corbin.

Born in Zeeland, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Edsel Bossardet and Lillian Smith Bossardet. Linda was a woman of faith who loved the simple joys of life. She enjoyed quilting, working on painting and cross-stitch programs online, and spending time with her beloved cats and dogs. Above all, she cherished her family and her faith in God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bert Bossardet, David Bossardet, and Douglas Bossardet.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest Sears; children, Rondal Thomas Sears, Michael Alan Sears, Timothy Ernest Sears (Brittany), and Diana Lynn Patterson (Joseph).

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Coleman Thomas Sears (Jane), Cooper Albright Sears, Timothy Andrew Sears, Adam Dalton Sears (Anna), Cammy Lane Sears, Colton Neal Sears, Alissa Louise Patterson, and Emma Leigh Patterson; great-grandchild, Charlie Thomas Sears; and another great-grandchild expected soon.

Additional survivors include her siblings, Thomas Bossardet, Reah John, Julie Crane (Scott), and Richard Bossardet (Pam); sisters-in-law, Margaret Bossardet and Sandy Bossardet; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-9:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Her funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2026, with Rev. Luke Day officiating. 

Burial will follow at Youngs Cemetery in Whitley County, KY.
