Letha A. Black, 88, of Corbin, passed away Friday, June 1, 2007 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Born to the late Matt and Pairlee Clark Sloan, Letha was a homemaker and Christian by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hiram Black; three brothers, David Sloan, Perry Sloan and Forester Sloan; and five sisters, Dolly Adams, Ethel McKinny, Artie Tye, Tessie Kottos and Lena Murphy.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Saylor and husband Alan; two grandsons, John Saylor and wife Jenny and Kenny Saylor and wife Rachel; one granddaughter, Angela Unthank and husband Derik; three great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Isaac Saylor and Lindsey Siler; and many nieces and nephews to mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, June 3, 2007 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Dr. Steve Sartori and Rev. John Lowder officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery.
The family of Letha Black will receive friends from 1:00-4:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
