Leonard 'Dale' Sykes

Leonard "Dale" Sykes, age 47, of Corbin, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2012, at his home.
He was a retired and disabled US Navy Veteran, and attended Gordon Hill Deliverance Church.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Earl Wendel Sykes; Brother, Duane Sykes; Foster Brothers, James and Ronnie Coffey; Papaw, Rev. William Kelcie Coffey.
He is survived by two Children, Rachel and Leonard; Mother, Virginia America McVey; Sisters, Andrea Couch and husband Chester; Wanda Russell, Barbara Barton, Linda Kennedy, and Donna Bass; Brothers, Carey Lorne Sykes, Jeff Sykes, and Gene Coffey; Nephews, Chet Couch III, Josh Couch, Benjamin Sykes, and Nick Bowen; Nieces, Sara Couch and Tara Sykes.
Funeral service will be held at 12noon on Monday, January 9, 2012, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery in Keavy.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 8th, from 6-8pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
