Kenneth Ray Phelps

Kenneth Ray Phelps, age 74, of Corbin, KY, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Baptist Health Corbin.

Born in Corbin, he was the son of the late Edwin Preston Phelps and Lula Jones Phelps. He worked for many years in construction doing siding and other jobs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Wayne Phelps.

He is survived by his son, Kenneth A. Phelps, Jr.; sister, Anna Ruth Stewart; and by a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 12-2 pm on Friday, August 9, 2024, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where his funeral service will follow at 2 pm.

Burial will follow at Corinth Cemetery in Corbin. Harris Stewart, Eric Stewart, Barry Stewart, James Phelps, William Stewart, and David Sharp will be pallbearers.
