Kathleen Starr Lear

Kathleen Starr Lear, 58, of Corbin, passed away Monday, May 3, 2021 at the home of her daughter Debra Sweeney in Corbin. Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, she was a daughter of Sharon Kay (Fox) Berry and the late Darrell Frank Berry. Kathleen had worked as a home health aide using her kind and loving nature to benefit her patients. She was a generous lady who opened her heart to others including strangers. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Steve M. Delacruz; children: Sara Allen, Bill Blakely, Debra Sweeney and husband Chris, Dustin Lear, and Jakeb Delacruz; grandchildren: Logan, Trentan, Brendan, Connor, Joseph and wife Hannah, Thomas, Scarlett Kathleen, Mikayla, and Sydney; great granddaughter Elizabeth; her sister, Lisa Berry; her brother, Frank Berry; and nieces and nephews: Rebecca, Johnathon, Nicole, and Makayla. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, May 7th, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Gilbert officiating. Visitation will begin at 12 noon Friday there.
