Joseph "Jay" Mayne, 85, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017 at his home in Corbin.
Jay was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korea, and was a dedicated member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Otis Mayne and Florence Ferguson Mayne.
He is survived by his wife Mary Lou Howard Mayne; three sons Riechl Mayne, Ryan Mayne (Pamela), and Rob Mayne (Chris); grandchildren Evan Mayne and Colin Mayne; and brothers and sisters Lonnie Mayne (Betty), W.C. Mayne, and Hurless Mayne (Darlene).
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 16, 2017, at Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. Herschel Walker officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery with military honors.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 PM Thursday at Hopewell Baptist Church.
