John Wayne Walker

John Wayne Walker, age 56, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026, in Corbin.

Born on June 6, 1969, in Dalton, Georgia, he was a son of the late John C. Walker and Annie Mae Williams Walker. John loved his family and being outdoors. He also enjoyed raising chickens.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Wayne Walker, Sandra Buchanan, and Denise Kittles.

John is survived by his children, Brandi Meeks (Anthony), Sean Woods (Michelle), Brittany Walker (Bobby Reeves), Ashley Young (Zach), Joni Goins (Jake), Savannah Walker (Anthony Allman), Erica Bowling (Mitchell), and Haley Walker; 17 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren; and by several nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation for John Walker will be held from 6-8pm on Tuesday February 24, 2026, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. His funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, with Rev. Kenny Johnson and Rev. Charles Robinson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Woods Cemetery in Gray, Kentucky. Serving as pall bearers will be Mitchell Bowling, Sean Woods, Mikie Weddle, Anthony Allman, Jake Goins, Tommy Newby, Bobby Reeves, and Ben Weddle.
