John Edward Lawson

John E. Lawson, 64, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, in Columbia, South Carolina.
Born in Knox County, he was the son of the late Delbert and Martha Henson Lawson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Claude Edward Lawson; four sisters, Margaret Johnson, Zelma Monhollen, Linda Taylor, and Betty Joyce Lawson; and two brothers, Kenneth Lawson and Clarence Lawson.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary Howsley of Georgia; two brothers, Jerry Lawson and wife Sue of Williamsburg and Tony Lawson and wife Donna of London; and half-sister, Marsha Cain and husband Danny of Georgia.
Graveside services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, Jan. 12, 2010 at the McNeil Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
