Jennifer Susan Meadors

Jennifer Susan Meadors, 73, was born on January 19, 1952, in Corbin, Ky, and went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Ky.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Wanda Steele Smith; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Raymond Leonard and Elizabeth Meadors; daughter, Michelle Lynn Meadors; brother, John Smith; sister, Patricia Fox; and brother-in-law, Johnny Fox.

Jennifer was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a devout Christian. She enjoyed reading the Bible daily, and her favorite song was Amazing Grace. Jennifer worked for the Corbin Independent School system until her retirement, with a passion for helping young children to grow and learn. She enjoyed every moment with her grandson, Nathan. Jennifer had a passion for helping others and always checking to make sure everyone she knew and loved was doing well. Not a day went by that she did not check on her loved ones.

Jennifer is survived by her husband of fifty years, Michael L. Meadors; son Jonathan Meadors (Andrea) ; grandson Nathan Meadors; sister-in-law Susan Smith, sister-in-law Sandy Beams, and brother-in-law John Beams; nieces Wanda Wallace, Kim Green, Brooke Baptiste (Kenly), and Ann Watson (Doug), and a special friend, Judy Lewallen.

Visitation for Jennifer Meadors will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home in Corbin, KY, where her funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm. with Brother Kevin Caudill officiating.

Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery in Williamsburg, KY.  Serving as her pall bearers will be Jeff Smith, Kenneth Faulkner, Todd Baker Jr., Mark Ridener, Zach Bender, Aaron Wilson, Kenly Baptiste, and Jay Damron.
