Jeannie Gayle Burkhart

Jeannie Gayle Burkhart, age 59, of Corbin, KY, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at her home under the care of Bluegrass Care Navigators after a long battle with cancer.

Jeannie was born on February 7, 1966, and will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Arlis Adams, on October 13, 2007, and her mother, Betty L. Adams, on November 5, 2016. Also, she was preceded in death by her very special nephew, Wesley Ooten

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Danny Burkhart; daughter, Cassie Fuson and husband Tommy of Corbin; two sisters, Karen Richmond and husband Johnny of Hubert, NC, and Penny Lewis of Corbin, who helped her so much in her time of sickness.

We wish to invite you to Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home to celebrate Jennie's life and that she has gone to be with her Lord JESUS, and all of her family and friends who have gone before her. Her visitation will be held from 11-1 pm on Monday, February 2, 2026, with funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Billy Evans officiating.

Interment will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily, KY.
