Janice Ellen Burke

Janice Ellen Burke, age 71 passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Baptist Health in Corbin, Kentucky.

Janice was a remarkable woman who lived her life with unwavering optimism and grace. Born on April 4, 1954, in Harlan, KY, Janice's journey was one marked with laughter, good food, and the joy of UK basketball.

Her passion for life was infectious, and she had an uncanny ability to make the ordinary extraordinary. Whether it was her day job at the American Greeting Company or her evenings spent dancing, Janice brought joy and dedication to everything she did.

Janice's is survived by her daughter, Tina Huffman (David Tye); son, Eddie Huffman (Beverly Carter); sisters, Lynette Heath, Vickie Rose; Tammy Creech (Darrell), and Sharie Ellison; grandchildren, Derek Cooper (Alexus Olvey), Brianna Jones and Joseph Jones; and great children, Brannan and Wyatt .

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Ada Rose

Visitation for Janice will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 12 - 2:00pm at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday with Pastor Jeffrey Branham officiating.
