Janice Amelia Grant

Janice Amelia Hill Grant, age 78, of Woodbine, KY, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at her home.

Born in Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William Hill and Beulah Engle Hill. Janice worked for many years at TCA in Williamsburg, KY. She was also a faithful member of Indian Gap Baptist Church. She took great pride in caring for her home and found joy in keeping it warm and welcoming for her family. She also loved hummingbirds, whose beauty and gentleness brought her happiness.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Bill Grant; siblings, James Hill, William “Jabo” Hill, Phyllis Grant, Donna Perkins, and Shirley Ray Hill; and her son-in-law, Timothy Jordan.

Janice is survived by her children, Carol Jordan, Pamela Huffman (Kenneth), Heather Grant (Terry), and Billy Leon Grant; siblings, Rhonda McKinley and Cecil Hill; grandchildren, Kenneth Huffman, Jr. (Lindsey), Keith Huffman (Amanda), Monica Grant (Brandon), Candace Owens (Cody), Dalton Grant, Timothy Kyle Jordan (Megan), Kristopher Jordan (Molly), Kyron Disney, Abigail Proffitt (Dakota), and Emma Hubbard; great-grandchildren, Haydon, Easton, Charlotte, Clara, Reagan, and T.J.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will cherish her memory.

Visitation will be held from 12noon until 2 pm on Saturday July 18, 2026, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Randy Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow at Grant Cemetery in Woodbine, KY. Serving as pall bearers will be Kenneth Huffman Jr., Keith Huffman, Kyle Jordan, Kris Jordan, Kyron Disney, and Dakota Proffitt.
