James Paul Nelson

James P. Nelson, 58, of Corbin, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
Born in Lake City, Tennessee, James was the son of the late Dewey and Idessie Nelson. He had been a truck driver for Midwest Logistics and loved cars.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Connie Nelson and brother Millard Nelson.
James is survived by two children: Matthew Nelson and Cody Nelson; two brothers: Roscoe Nelson and Joseph Nelson; two sisters: Margaret Terry and Imogene Nelson; and by numerous family and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home.
