Irene Alberta Stuart Johnson

Irene Alberta Stuart Johnson, age 100, of Corbin, passed away on Friday at Baptist Health in Corbin.
She was born on July 2, 1913 in Corbin and was a daughter to the late William Robert Stuart and Chloe Turner Stuart.
Irene was a member of West Corbin Baptist Church.
In addition to her Parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Claude Johnson; and by her brothers and sisters; Luster Stuart, Ellen Haverly, Mona Dean, William R. Stuart, Frances Jones, and Charles Arthur Stuart.
She is survived by her three Children; Janet Johnson of Corbin, W.C. Johnson of Pinehurst, NC, and Herman Johnson of Anderson, SC; Nine Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren, five Great Great Grandchildren, and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Vince Johnson officiating. Burial will be private.
