Helen Imogene Hurst

Helen Imogene Hurst, age 77, of Corbin passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at home.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Thomas William Hurst; Parents, Lee Andrew and Lizzie Pearl Baker Whitaker; Step Children, Bill Smith, Normas Hurst, Alton Hurst, Ida Mae Kukulski, and Barbara Sucker; Brothers, Carl, Millard, and Melvin Whitaker; and by a Sister Frieda Hill.
She is survived by her Children; Shelvie "Kayle" Hurst, Janice Stevens and husband Glen, Johnny Hurst and wife Sharon, Doyle Hurst and wife Mary, Geraldine Allen and husband Tim, and Steven Hurst and wife Teresa; Step-Children, Margie Dean and Betty Chism and husband Clyde; Siblings; Faye Harrison, Wanda Hurst, and Elsie Clontz; 38 Grandchildren, and Numerouse Great Children and Great Great Grandchildren; as well as, a host of family and friends.
Funeral service will be at 10am on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with procession to the cemetery for a graveside service at the Yellow Hill Cemetery in Bell County.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 30th from 6-8pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
