Harold William Craig, age 81, of Corbin passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Baptist Health Corbin.
He was a Whitley County native and the son of Nolan L. and Nannie Roaden Craig. Harold was retired from the U.S. Air Force and had been the business owner of a retail vacuum shop in Corbin. He was a member of Frankfort Baptist Church, the Keavy DAV Chapter #158, and an avid fisherman.
He was preceded death by his parents, son Ernie Partin, and brother-in-law Richard Massie.
Harold is survived by his wife Violet V. Craig; sons Harold Craig, Jr. of Ft. Myers, FL, Gary Craig and wife Teresa of Corbin, Larry Craig and wife Florence of Gray, and Floyd Partin of Williamsburg; daughters Vickie Lynn Hunter and husband Charlie of Smyrna, TN and Marie Rogers and husband Greg of Corbin; a sister Lozella Massie of Hamilton, OH; a brother Gorman Butch Walters and wife Rita of Corbin; a sister Jean Williams and husband Bryan of Indiana; 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; a special friend Bob Burns of London; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Harold's funeral will follow at 2pm with Rev. James Hodge officiating.
Burial will be at Worley Cemetery with military honors by the Keavy DAV Chapter #158 Honor Guard.
