Gertrude Brasel, 92, of Gray, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at The Heritage.
Gertrude was born in Clay County. During World War II, she was a "Rosie the Riveter".
She was preceded in death by her first husband William Veader Fisher, son Burton Wayne Gibson, and by several siblings.
She is survived by her children: Freddie Gibson, Anita Dawson, Phillip Fisher, Vincent Fischer, and Sherry Shafner; 18 grandchildren; and by many great-grandchildren, including Ryan Barton; brother Rocky Bryant; and a sister Anne.
Visitation will be held from 12 Noon on Sunday, February 18, until the time of the Funeral at 2:00 pm at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Hutchins Cemetery.
