Georgia L. Sumner

Georgia L. Sumner, age 82, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Laurel Heights Nursing Home in London, KY.

Born in Gray, KY, she was the daughter of the late Chester Sharp and Otta Harmon Moore. Georgia was a cook for Corbin Independent Schools. She was a talented cook, and it brought her great joy to share her gift with others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Clyde Sumner, and sister, Shirley Brown.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

A service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, in the mausoleum chapel at Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily, KY.
