Gene Erving Parham

Gene Erving Parham, 85, of Corbin, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at his home. Born in North Carolina, Gene was the son of the late Charles David Parham and Martha Ann Stout Coffey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father Henry Oliver Coffey, brothers Charles David Parham and Henry Guy Coffey, and niece Stephanie Gaye Coffey. Gene had been a steel worker and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved life, working, and being outside. He is survived by his wife Edna Parham, brother Oliver Coffey (Jody), nephews Rodney Guy Coffey and Robert Henry Coffey, and niece Jennifer Ruth Coffey, all to mourn his passing. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon Friday, August 21, 2020 until the Funeral at 1:00 pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Griffith Family Cemetery with military honors by Keavy D.A.V. Chapter 158. COVID-19 regulations require that those attending to social distance and to wear a mask.
