Gary L. Evans

Gary L. Evans, 70, of Corbin passed away Friday, April 20, 2018 at his home following a long illness.
He was a son of the late Bill and Nell Evans and was preceded in death by sisters Joyce Faulkner and Pat Wallingford.
Gary had been a locomotive engineer with the B&O and CSX railroads.  He was an award-winning billiards champion and loved the outdoors.  He belonged to the Dorthae Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his son, Rev. Billy Evans (Trish);  his grandchildren, Nathan Evans and Faith Evans;  brothers, Billy Harold Evans (Roberta) and Andy Evans (Jo Anne);  a sister, Kafey Hensley;  and several nieces and nephews.
Gary's visitation will begin at 12 noon Sunday at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.  The funeral will follow at 2 pm there with Bro. Glenn Wilson officiating.  Burial will be in the Evans Family Cemetery.
