Frank C. Engle, age 77, went home to be with the Lord and many loved ones on September 29, 2026.
Frank was born May 20, 1949, in Laurel County, KY, to the late Levi & Ellen Engle. He married the love of his life, Loretta Irene Engle, on November 9, 1974; from this union were two children, Danny (Krista) Engle and Billy (Amy) Engle. Frank was blessed with six grandchildren, Andrew (Allison) Engle, Molly Bari (Jacob), Kayla and Ashton Engle, Josh (Natalie) and Justin (Jordan) Gorrell; and four great-grandchildren, Marley Engle, Isabella Bari, Benjamin Gorrell, and Theodore Gorrell.
The second born of four, he leaves behind his sisters Evelyn Bowman, Vanessa Cornett (Shane), and Julia Rawlings (Chuck). He leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and extended family to mourn his passing.
He accepted Jesus Christ as his savior in 1963 alongside two of his cousins.
In 1969, he joined the United States Air Force; he was a member of the Keavy DAV 158. He retired after 31 years with CSX Transportation.
Frank was a man of simple things and few words, but his legacy will live on through those he left behind. "The greatest legacy one can pass on to one's children and grandchildren is not money or material things accumulated in one's life, but rather a legacy of character and faith," - Billy Graham.
