Elmer Edward Steffens, age 55, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Baptist Health in Lexington, Kentucky.
Elmer was born in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky and he enjoyed working on cars, a skill he honed over the years, turning it into an art form. Elmer's face would light up whenever he got a chance to roll up his sleeves and get under the hood of a car. His love for speed extended to the drag racing tracks, where he often went with his loving wife, Jennifer Steffens. It was a shared hobby that only strengthened their bond.
Elmer is survived by his devoted wife, Jennifer Price Steffens; children, Edward Steffens, Amber Steffens, Sara Steffens, and William Steffens; granddaughter, Allison Steffens; siblings Mary Steffens Willen (Rick), Juliane Clark (Mark), John Steffens (Tammy), and Jeff Steffens; and by a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Steffens and Geraldine Wilson Steffens; and by his brother, Karl Steffens. Elmer's memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who knew him.
