Effie G. Hood

Effie G. Hood, 73, of Corbin, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at Baptist Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Rockholds in Whitley County, was a homemaker, and a member of the Corn Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Myrtle and Jim Brown; six brothers; and one sister.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Billy Hood; son, Timothy Hood of Corbin; and grandson, Timothy Ray Hood.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Friday, March 21, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Jones and Ray Hood officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery.
The family of Effie Hood will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
