Dwight Allen Stevens

Dwight “Mighty Whitey” Allen Stevens, age 69, of London, KY, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026, at St. Joseph London.

Born in Ohio, he was the son of the late Lester Stevens and Marcelene Addington Stevens. Dwight spent many years working in sales, including time with Affordable Housing, Clayton Homes, and Lowe’s. He had a natural way with people and enjoyed the relationships he built through his work.

Dwight was a lifelong Cincinnati Reds fan and loved cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats. He also enjoyed fishing and was a talented bluegrass musician who could play just about anything with strings. More than anything, though, Dwight will be remembered for his personality. He was funny, quick-witted, and usually the life of the party, always ready with a comment that could break the ice and make everyone laugh.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Joe Stevens; brother, Darrell Stevens of Eubank, KY; and sister, Margaret Huber of Eubank, KY.

He is survived by his daughter, Kelly Stevens Gregory (Earl); son, Daniel Stevens (Brandi); the mother of his children, Kathie Stevens; his companion, Patti Hart; grandchildren, Summar Ferguson (Ricky) and Ashton Gregory (fiancée, Angela Gwinn); great-grandchildren, Leelynn Ferguson and Skyelah Ferguson; and many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where his funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Earl Gregory and Rev. Ryan Wells officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Corbin, KY.
