Gary Lynn Douglas

Gary L. Douglas, age 68 of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on February 24, 2026, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington.

Born on October 27, 1957, in Jellico, TN, a son of the late Cleve "Jay" Douglas and Jacqueline West Douglas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Robbins, and by his sister, Trudy Croley.

Gary's life was an ode to the things he loved and the people he cherished. Residing in Corbin, Kentucky, he led an enriching life as an accomplished mechanic. He loved the thrill of riding his motorcycle and working on cars, yet his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, who were his most beloved treasures.

Gary is survived by his wife, Tammy Cannon; children, Brandon Cannon (Holly), Jordan Cannon (LaDonna), Justin Douglas (Tiffany), and Amy Fraizer Bennett (Brock); grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Brooklyn, Kendra, Blake, Corey, Payton, Mason, Bryson, Liam, Peyton, Kingston, and Malia; sister, Barbara Chandler; cousin, Kathy Byrd (Eddie); and by his special friends, Charlie Brogan, Chris Carter, Tina Middleton, and Vickie Walker.

Memorial visitation for Gary will be held from 6-7 PM on Monday, March 2, 2026, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where his service will be held at 7:00 PM with Bro. Rodney Edwards officiating.
