Doris Anderson Langford

Doris Anderson Langford, age 79, of London, KY, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Baptist Health Corbin.

Born in Knox County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Evan Eugene Anderson and Gracie Brummett Anderson. Doris worked for many years as a nursing aide at Corbin Health and Rehabilitation, where her caring heart and compassion for others were evident in the way she served those around her. She was a faithful member of Sunshine Hill Baptist Church.

Doris enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers, but her greatest joy came from helping others. She was known for her generous spirit and was often grocery shopping or finding ways to provide for someone in need. Caring for others came naturally to her, and she found true happiness in giving and serving those she loved.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Langford Smallwood; twelve siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her loving husband, Clyde Langford; children, Rolan Langford and wife Darla of Corbin, Benny Langford and wife Melissa of London, and Wendy Petrey and husband Ben of Corbin; grandchildren, Jared Langford, Amanda Langford, Brandon Langford, Breanna Langford, Colton Langford, and Logan Petrey; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will cherish her memory.

Visitation will be held from 10:00–11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Dewayne Arthur officiating. 

Burial will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery in Keavy, KY.
