Doris Jean Creech

Doris Jean Creech, age 87, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at the Christian Health Care Center in Corbin, Kentucky.

Born in Lynch, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Ross Broughton and Lottie Collins Broughton. Doris was a retired school secretary having worked in Shelbyville, KY, and for the Henry County School System. Doris enjoyed being with her family and playing bingo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey "Scooty" Creech in 2021; and by her sister, Geraldine Stalnaker, and brother, R. J. Broughton.

Doris is survived by her sons, Mark Creech and wife Donna, and Kerry Creech and wife Tammy; grandchildren, Michael Creech, Jessica Pruisman and husband Greg, and Natasha Garrison and husband Eric; great grandchildren, Trey Hensley, Kodi Davidson, Morley Garrison, and Boston Garrison.

Graveside service for Doris Creech will be held at 2pm o Friday August 28, 2026, at the Pine Hill Cemetery off Master Street in Corbin, Kentucky, with Rev. Victor Bramlett officiating.

Arrangements by the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home in Corbin.

In lieu of flowers donations in Doris' name may be made to the Christian Health Care Center for Resident Activities.
