Donna Mae Fore

Donna Mae Fore, age 91, of Rockholds, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Baptist Health in Corbin, KY.

Born in Knox County, she was a daughter of the late William Frost and Mae Engle Frost. Donna was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Austin Fore; daughter, Peggy Fox; son Daryl Fore; siblings, Gordon "Doc" Frost, Jim Frost, Kenneth Frost, Bessie Lunsford, Mary Sams, Annabelle Stanley, and Ruth Lunsford; great grandson Zachary Hayes; and by three son-in-laws, Boyd Swafford, Delbert Swafford, and Daniel Patterson.

Donna is survived by her special son, Jimmy Fore, who devoted his life to caring for her. In addition she is survived by children, Danny Fore (Kelly), Joyce Swafford, Betty Swafford, Phyllis Patterson, and Orpha Rees (Eddie); grandchildren, Miranda Hayes (DJ), Danessa Monhollen (Jason), Delbert Swafford Jr. (Melissa), Matthew Swafford, James Swafford (Barbie), Crystal Swafford, Boyd Swafford Jr. (Sandra), Daniel Patterson Jr., Donna Holland (Kyle), John Patterson, and Jackie Melton (Joe); numerous great grandchildren, including, Jaycie Monhollen, Austin Hayes, Skyler Hayes, Kolton Hayes, Dani Patterson, Ryan Patterson, Kolson Holland, Jaxson Holland, and Nathan Patterson; her sister, Nell Kneper; and by numerous nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be from 12 - 2 pm on Thursday August 6, 2026, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday with Bro. Alan Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Corn Creek Cemetery.
