Deborah Rose, age 74, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Baptist Health Corbin.
Born in Dayton, OH, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Oscar Rose and Daphne Terrell Rutledge. Deborah was a faithful member of Little Indian Creek Baptist Church, where her kind and caring spirit reflected the faith she held close throughout her life.
Deborah enjoyed the simple pleasures that brought comfort and happiness. She loved knitting and crocheting, often creating handmade gifts for those she loved. She was also known as the world's biggest Randy Travis fan and could always be found enjoying his music. Above all, Deborah had a big heart and a joyful spirit that made others feel welcome and loved.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Joe Rutledge, and her grandparents, Edward and Lucy Terrell.
She is survived by her sister, Lucy Rutledge; brothers, James Rose and Melvin Rose; special grandniece, Raelynn Ann Michelle Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish her memory.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Randy Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow at Wells Cemetery in Woodbine, KY.
