Danny A. Tipton

Danny A. Tipton, age 78, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Baptist Health in Corbin, Kentucky.

He was born on August 5, 1946, in Alva, Kentucky, a son of the late Paul Tipton and Daisy May Tipton.

Danny was a man of many talents and achievements. He proudly served his country as a U.S. Air Force veteran, demonstrating his commitment to his nation's values. Upon his honorable discharge, he embarked on a successful career in telecommunications, spending several decades with AT&T before retiring.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Caudill Tipton, and by a brother, Harry Paul Tipton.

Danny is survived by his beloved daughters, Melissa Lawhorn (Jeff), and Danielle Greco (Marc); grandchildren, Britney Lawhorn (Drew), Dylan Lawhorn, Macey Greco, Kyler Greco, and by his grandson, who was like a son, Dwain Randolph (Tara); his sister, Sharon Steele (Kenny), and by several nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A graveside service for Danny will be held at 1pm on Saturday July 12, 2025, at Rest Haven Cemetery in Corbin, KY with military honors by American Legion Post #88.
