Daniel "Buzz" Duane Witt Il, age 72, of Woodbine, KY, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at his home, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, deep devotion, and an undeniable passion for life. Buzz was born on March 31, 1954, in Wayne, Michigan, to the late Daniel and Mary Billings Witt.
Buzz had a great love for life and a willingness to help anyone he met. Buzz was a man defined by his strong hands and unwavering work ethic. As a dedicated maintenance professional, there wasn't a problem he couldn't solve or anything he couldn't fix. He approached every day with a grit and determination that earned him the genuine respect of everyone around him. Buzz found his true peace in the quiet of the country, loving the wide-open spaces and the freedom of a rural lifestyle that he truly loved.
Beyond his labor, Buzz's eyes truly lit up for his passions and the people he cherished. He was a true automotive enthusiast with a legendary love for '69 Roadrunners, a perfect reflection of his appreciation for classic American muscle, horsepower, and timeless style. Yet, as much as he loved the roar of a great engine, nothing compared to the deep, fierce love he had for his family. He was a steadfast rock for those closest to him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Kuhn and Kenny Kuhn. His special friend Kais Rains,
Buzz's love lives on through his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kimberly Bingham Witt, and his daughters, Jennifer Bryant and her husband, Travis of Lexington, KY, and Tiffany Dempsey and her husband, Frankie, of Woodbine, KY.
He was the proud grandfather of five grandchildren: Lilianna Bryant, Javon Bryant, Noah Justice, Kadin Barton, and Frankie Grace Dempsey; and two great-grandchildren, Waylon Justice and Weston Justice. He is also survived by special nephew and niece-in-law Willie and Samantha Taylor, and by special friends Christena Rains, Billy Rains, Carl "Bino" Rains, and Doug Hunter.
Buzz leaves behind a legacy of strength, devotion, and honest hard work that will never be forgotten by those who knew and loved him.
