Curtis Blaine Jaynes, 64, of Corbin, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 13, 2023.
Curtis was born on November 19, 1959 in Corbin, Kentucky to his parents William F. Jaynes and Juanita Ellen Paul Jaynes, who proceed him in death.
In addition to his parents, Curtis is also proceeded in death by his sisters, Alta Kathleen Elliott (Charlie), Billie Jaynes Reeder, two infant siblings, and nephew Austin Jaynes.
He is survived by his two beloved daughters, Andrea Robinson (Tyler) of Corbin, Karlee Taylor (Skyler) of London, grandchildren, Harrison Reed Robinson, Ramsey Charles Robinson, Adley Ryan Robinson and Nathaniel Blake Taylor. He is also survived by one brother, Bruce Jaynes (Felicia) of Corbin, and two sisters Wilma Partin (Rick) of Rockholds, and Velma Barton (Jeff) of Corbin, One Brother-in-law Robert Reeder of Corbin, as well special nieces and nephews who mourn his passing.
Curt was a 1977 graduate of Lynn Camp High School. Over the years, he devoted his work to National Standard, CSX Railroad, construction and most recently served as Production Maintenance Manager of TCO.
Curt had a love for the outdoors and was an avid sportsman. Quiet mornings and evenings in the woods hunting deer and calling in turkey were some of his favorite pastimes. He loved bass fishing and loved spending time on the water with his brother and nephews. He loved sports and especially enjoyed watching and coaching his daughters as they grew up. He loved watching football and basketball, and loved playing competitive softball, where he would hit home runs for his girls as they grew up. He enjoyed singing hymns and writing songs for The Lord. He loved attending Bacon Creek Baptist Church with Darvin Wells as his pastor.
Visitation will be held from 1-3 P.M. on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home in Corbin, Kentucky. The funeral service will follow at 3 P.M. with Pastor Scott Phipps officiating. Interment will take place at Brown Cemetery in Meadow Creek, Kentucky with special family serving as pallbearers.
