Connie Lynn Mabe, age 65, of Keavy, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at the UK Medical Center, Hospice Care Center, in Lexington, Kentucky.
She was a retired forklift operator, at CTA in Corbin where she had worked for 25 years. Connie loved to travel and especially enjoyed going to the ocean. Her family was her life, and she loved all her family more than anything, and she also loved her fur babies, Pebbles, Dozer, and Trigger. Connie never met a stranger, and she loved everyone she met.
Born in Manchester, Kentucky she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny Edward Mabe; mother, Mary Brumley; father, Ferris Bowing; brothers, Albert Brumley and Billy Ray Burns; nephew, Douglas Burns; and by many other family members and friends including aunt, Cecil Mabe, nephew, Raleigh Ray Buckie Bowling, and her best friend and cousin, Betty Ann Wagers.
Connie is survived by her daughter, Mary Amanda Woods (Robbie), step-daughter, Rian Francie Fuson (David); grandbabies, Alexander Woods, Anakin Reed Fuson, and Vaughn Adriauna Fuson; her nephew, Camden Ledington; sisters, Marice Bowling and Joyce Roach (Odell), sister in law, Janice Burns; and by many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, family, and friends, including her best friend, Judy Ferris.
Visitation will be from 12-2 pm on Tuesday, September, 3, 2024 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, September, 3rd at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, with Pastor Larry Robinson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Engine Cemetery, in Clay County, Kentucky.
